Oh, I like that Swedish Swift!  I have an Airfix kit in the stash w/o serious plan (yet), I might pick that idea up and create a dedicated recce version (as a supplement to the Hunters). I have a surplus recce nose from a Heller Viggen somewhere...  Should look good in blue/green cammo.

Glad you like it Dizzy. That was from last years One Week GB, here is the link https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=46573.msg845928#msg845928
It fulfilled all my requirements for the GB, easy to make and an easy paint scheme.

Okay, set up a Flickr account. Howzis?

If you see it, that's the canopy I'll probably stick on it. If memory serves, it's from the old Frog F-4K, but backward because it seems to work better that way.

I KNEW THAT!  :o  What I meant was that I have tried it backward, and it seems to look better. I think. But that picture was taken years ago.

Having switched it in my minds eye Ratty I think you may well be right

Okay, first pic is when i stuck the new nose on a long time ago, I think I used a drop tank. Second is the PSR stage, with the canopy backward, which does look better.

Yeah, backwards definitely matches the Swift's contours better.

Certainly does, gives her a much more modern look

The forward canopy would have to open like an F-16's that way round, as there's no windscreen as such. But it looks very good nonetheless.

Hmmm... You're right. If I feel industrious I could sand off the raised canopy framing, polish the plastic, and paint some frames that would allow for a better opening method. Having the canopy this way around certainly gives that back seat chappie a better view than the previous arrangement, unless I go with a single seater and have the rear part solid, like the early Swifts. Decisions, decisions...

While I decide on the final scheme and use for this bird, I got some work done on creating a sawtooth leading edge. Some scrap plastic with enough glue to hopefully weld it to the wing and allow it to be carved/files/sanded to blend in. Underside will be filled in with putty. Hmmm, how does a raspberry ripple scheme sound? Then I would have to come up with yet another fantasy role.

<sigh> It ain't easy being a whiffer.
