2 part RAF roundels

I have decided to finish my FF2 build off and put some  decals on it the only spare ones I have that are the right sort of size are the 2 piece ones and I  have  decided to give them a go. Is there a  technique to  putting them on, I have  thought about  putting the  main decal on  leaving it over night then putting some  gloss clear coat on.  After leaving that to dry overnight  then applying the  red bits. Is this  worthwhile to get them right or should I just put the middle on over the  outer when  dried.  All help  will be much appreciated.

I have used both techneques and found that both work. However, the second method does mean that there will not be the slitest posibility of the larger first part doing anything unwanted such as lifting or moveing.

Chris, it is possible to do it the other way but as you were wanting to know and be reasured about the "apply as if two different decals" way is probably best and reflects that they are two decals that go in the same place.

Chris I use this type of transfer quite a lot, for various reasons, and tend to use the quick method. I place the outer roundels, then when I've got them on, normally 6 of them, place the centre red roundel.

Touching wood I've not had any problems, but that may be down to the fact that most, if not all, of this type of roundel, tends to "grab" very quickly and unless you give it a good soaking won't move around that much after you've placed it anyway.

Thankyou Chris, I am  wary of them because of my lack of fine control over my fingers.  I am good at destroying  decals  as it is.
