As it says this is the place to discuss the 2020 One Week GB.

One of my favorites!! I'll actually be able to participate this year for the first time in far too long!!  Time to go inspect the stash for a fitting candidate.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

kitbasher

1WGB2020 is also 'Kitbasher's 1st Post-Retirement GB'.  I'll be entering something and it will be finished during the week.

Probably  ;)

Good luck, y'all

I can't even PLAN a build in one week, let alone actually do one!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Victim selected.  Poor thing, she's normally very graceful.

I am still uncertain about my subject for this 1WGB. The Thai Navy Skyhawk that had been earmarked has been "sacrificed" for the In The Navy GB...  :-\
But there's a G.91 project on the list that could make a proper contender.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

With the stuff I brought back from home it occurs to me that I just might be able to compete this time.

I may need some allowed preparations though..............

Well I've selected 3 possibilities. 2 are AZ kits straight out of the box and the third is a nice piece of resin that would continue my what if Polish AF theme.

I have a new era Airfix kit, the engine from a different new era Airfix kit, Some parts from my parts boxes and some scratch.
Manufacturer will be Farley.

Farley seems to be very fashionable at the moment. Does anybody knows the ISBN code for the Putnam book "Farley aircraft since ...".
I cannot find it on bookfinder.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

The Putnam  volume on Farley aircraft has not yet been published .  I believe that there is a problem involving libel lawyers, a prominent politician, a herd of guanaco, illicit cheese dealing  and several brown paper envelopes.

In order to fill this void, a very brief and no doubt inaccurate history is available here:-  https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=47864.msg882503#msg882503

Should you be able to add any data to the history mentioned above, please do so!!

The Farley Fairy Penguin was a successor to the Farley Frigatebird autogiro.
From plans recently discovered in the library of stately zen manor it appears that following the legal actions taken against Farley they may have stopped "taking inspiration" from Westland designs and switched to being inspired by a different UK manufacturer.

I'm sure this question has come up before, but as I've never entered a 1 Week GB before I've taken much notice of the answer, but......

If it starts at 1 minute past midnight, in the small hours of Saturday morning, and ends at Midnight on the following Sunday, that's not 7 days, it's 8.........
