Terran Medo-Disk, Janaury 2400

As part of the technological support of newly discovered worlds, DPMSP (Developing Planets Military Support Program) was initiated in 2120. Under this program, the Solar Fleet is committed to purchasing ships designed and built on these worlds to support the development of the spaceship industry and technology on these worlds.
Most of the time this is done in small quantities, and the ships that are taken into the service of the fleet are only used for secondary tasks. Thus, many of these mostly smaller ships can be found in various tasks on Terran colonies.

But there are also exceptions, like the Medo-Disk, which is based on the rebanian space yacht design of the Pac-Se class.

The Rebans live on the planet Icin, 1426 light years away from Earth. In 2127, Icin was discovered by an explorer ship from Earth. The Rebanians, which resemble upright walking bears (the size of an adult Reban can vary from 20-160cm) were about to take their first steps into interstellar space. But through contact with Earth, the Rebaners' technical development took a steep upswing, so that only 15 years after first contact they were able to build their first spaceship that could travel faster than the speed of light.

Because of the Rebaners' fascination with everything about Earth, the first designs of Reban spaceships had unmistakable (visual) references to Terran designs.

The space yachts of the Pac-Se class quickly became an insider tip on the private yacht market and the Medo-Disk derived from it for the transport of wounded quickly enjoyed great popularity in the Solar Fleet. So, it happened that between 2268 and 2420 several thousand of these small transporters were built and became a constant companion on large fleet units.

The model is in scale 1:250 (12 cm diameter) and printed with an Anycubic Mega in PLA. Painted with Revel Aqua Color, the decals are from the spare part box.

Very nice 3D job.

The containers are very nice as well, I used some similar prints from my UP 3D printer on a recent Sci Fi Freighter build, they came out ok.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nice.

Reminds me of one of my favorite SF book series, Sector General by James White.
