I'll just join in with the others and say what a brilliant way to do a poll
And I could have done with a few more votes ;D
Some really good/interesting ideas and models.

Regards
Keith
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Thanks a lot () for setting up the voting in this visual manner, that makes the selection easy - but not the task of distributing only seven votes...! So many great works and ideas, tough choice as usual!  :banghead:

Old Wombat

All credit goes to Fred (zenrat) for setting up the poll, I handballed it to him. ;D

By the way: Thank you to everyone who entered as a contestant; 51 entries is a phenomenal achievement!

Voted! Well done everybody: big field AND high quality.

Suggestion for those struggling how to allocate their votes:

With a large number of votes like this, maybe divide them up into different categories, like your own private Oscars. So of seven, you give, say, two votes to best concepts, two votes to best building, two votes to best paint and one wildcard for crazy/funny/whatever.

Just a thought.

Errr, where is my inline Corsair?

Added.
And i'm sorry if you missed out on some votes.
But in future (and this applies to everyone) post finished builds in the finished build thread.  Apart from making it easier for the poll maker it proves they were finished before the end of the GB as it will be locked at the final deadline (note to mods, don't forget to do this next time...)

Dagnabbit, so I might have sneaked my Sluff in there despite being late. 😉

Yep.  I think we (Chris, Womby & I) all assumed someone else would lock the thread.  As they say, assumption is the mother-in-law of all feck ups...

It crossed my mind to only give you all one vote each...

It has always bugged me when voting in polls when I have had to click backwards and forwards to different threads to remind myself what the entry was.  It seemed obvious to put in a thumbnail picture.  I wasn't sure if the BB code would work but it did.
It would also be possible to use BB code to make the text on certain entries bigger or a different colour or bold and thus draw them to the attention of the electorate.  Not that I would do that of course.
To be fair, in each case I used the first pic the entrant posted on the finished builds thread to use as the thumbnail.

NOT a good idea...................  :o

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It was an exceptional turnout  I have my own ides as to why, but being a Mod I shall keep them to my self.

Anyway thanks to both the Moderators for getting us through this

Go on, tell us.  ;D

Because the virus lockdown? It's certainly the reason why I managed to build three models, all that time stuck indoors.

Partly because of the Lockdown Kit.

I think it was also so popliar because the rules were relatively relaxed.

Base, common & pop-u-lar!* That's us! ;D

I'd agree with both assessments: Relatively relaxed rules & folks stuck at home with lots of time on their hands.

I think relaxed rules and a subject that was very broad meant most people, I would hope all people, could find a way to take part. That possibly increased participation.

Whatever the reason, well done to everyone for taking part
