Doing something Japanese again; another:

IJN DD Akatsuki

Size is 35 mm.

So there are now three escort destroyers for the little IJN task force.

Just waiting for the Dauntless' to strike.

Nice little group

The Dauntless have to wait, and as another IJN ship joins, their job will get more difficult.

IJN CL Kumai

The little aircraft was printed separately.

Size is 55 mm.

The complete Task force now:

That's a very nice looking little grouping

With the emphasis on the 'little'................  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Another WowS What-If, the USS Buffalo.

The USS Buffalo is one of Wargaming's designs of a US cruiser in the game that did not exist in real life.

A very close up to the aircraft, remember, the wingspan is just over 5mm. So its a real challenge for my engineer to paint them.

The small USN fleet printed so far.

Ship size is 70mm.

I think your Engineer needs a holiday he'll be getting worn out paws  ;) ;D

That's an interesting looking cruiser, got the look of a post war helicopter about her with that broad aft deck.

The USN 'big gun' ships tended to be that shape and I always wondered if it was to make enough room to swing both catapults around to face into the apparent wind, or was it for some hydrodynamic reason.

This time, a new challenge, to add a Kriegsmarine Baltic-Sea camo on one of those little 1:3000 models.

The model is the light cruiser Nürnberg, the 3D model is again from World of Warships. Aircraft and masts were added alter of. And of course, you should not get too close to it, but from 20-30 cm distance it does not look too bad :)

A little Kriegsmarine fleet:

Size is 60 mm.

Lets return to the IJM, this time the battle-cruiser Amagi.

Again, one of the What-If form World of Warships

Size is 85 mm

The complete IJN task force so far:
2 CV, 1 BC, 1CL and 4 DD

Lets start the year with a classic, the Kriegsmarine Bismarck. The camo was tricky to add in this size. Masts were not printed and added later.

Size of it is 82mm.

Here he is (Bismarck was a he) with the H-class battleship

And with some German cruisers.

And finally I got my had to one of those 1/3000 scale Fujimi kits, which are a bit hard to get here.

So we have to box-art:

This is in the box:

All the little ships in there:

And as a comparison, one of my 3Dprinted IJN destroyers with one from the kit. The printed one has finer structures - to small sometimes - but the injected model is more designed to be made in this scale.

I've never seen those Fujimi 1/3000 kits before

There are various Fujimi kits on the market, most of them including a naval base. TomZ used them for his Kriegsmarine 1947 World Tour diorame here in the forum. But they are hard to get here, mostly only as direct import from Japan (=expensive). The one I got was form a local store here in Germany for about 25€.

That is a remarkably capable  engineer you have in your team.  I'm very impressed with his detailed work.
