Things will start slowly for this GB with a kitbash, depicting one of those dead-end designs from the purgatory Interwar era that struggled between vintage biplanes and modern monoplanes with retractable landing gear. It will be Polish, a prototype during field tests near Warsaw. Expect a khaki livery.  ;)

Given my propensity of Polish types I'm looking forward to this

A fighter variant of the RWD-19 sport plane?

Oh, I was not aware that the -19 had been allocated to a realized project (despite research). Thanks for the info, designation of this build might change accordingly (into RWD-24, which is perfect since the -25 was a low-wing fighter project)!

The RWD 24 designation was reserved for a light bomber project, a landplane version of the RWD 22,
although properly it should have been assigned to the RWD 25 but, according to Czynk, they skipped
to 25 to avoid confusion with the PZL P.24 fighter.

The suffix 'bis' was used fairly regularly, so I suppose you could used RWD 19bis with the story that they
used that designation to hide from the Army Generals that they were working on a fighter in addition to
the approved RWD 25.

Well, I will stick with the -24 number for this one. It's whifworld, after all.  ;)

I'm looking forward to this having a bit of a thing for Polish, and indeed Central European projects in general

Give him time, give him time (not normally a phrase associated with Dizzyfugu!  ;D )
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Yesterday evening was productive - there's already the hull with wings and stabilizers attached, plus the simple cockpit and a pilot figure.  The time warp machine in the basement works well... ;)

However, I will probably only make a "complete" post for this build with story and WiP pics later, since things are moving quite fast.

In order to stir your imagination: main ingredients are a Hobby Boss MS.406, a Mistercraft PZL P./ and an ICM Heinkel He 51. ;) This should give you an idea of what will come out of this bashing stunt - and so far it looks better than expected!

Lots of PSR during the last 36 hours, and mounting the landing gear turned out to be more complicated than expected - but the RWD-24 stands on its own feet now. Just added some wing struts this morning, time for some final hardware touches and painting can start. The thing looks pretty archaic, the MS.406's body is bigger than anticipated - its original wings and the deep wing/fuselage fairings cover a lot of the fuselage depth!
