I've always liked the look of the B-46 and you've made me appreciate it even more

I also have that kit in the stash  ;)

Corking Conqueror, great concept and build .

Wow, looks great!

Any comments on the kit? I have been tempted by several Anigrand kits, once I get over the sticker shock, but some of their subjects are irresistible....

It's a rather basic kit. Fit is fine, no air bubbles to speak of.
However the cockpit is very basic and the nose compartment empty except a very rudimentary seat. I'm not a super detailer but this kit has a lot of room for adding extra details.
For me it was a quick build, with no problems whatsoever.
The only downside is that there is no way to make it sit on all three wheels. The nose is transparent and you would need to add a lot of weight to keep the nose down, which would be quite visible. Hence the base plate on my build.

Isn't there space behind the cockpit for nose weight, it's a VERY long fuselage? Or is it one solid moulding perhaps?

There is space but also very visible.
Perhaps I could have fabricated some kit of bulkhead.

But also I was a little bit afraid that the undercarriage would collapse if I put in all the weight needed.

I agree with Tom in that Anigrand can be a little on the basic side when it comes to detail. Also the resin can be very thick, especially on the fuselage halves. Mind you that gives you plenty of contact area when it comes to glue. The smaller parts are also surrounded by a lot of flash and can require some serious cleaning up..

On the plus side they do tend to go together o.k. and as said some of their subjects are just

So as long as you don't expect them to be "shake and bake" and take your time they don't present any major problems.

I've always thought the B-46 a really gorgeous looking aeroplane, and you've more than done it justice Tom.

It looks MAGNIFICENT!

Aren't the wings a bit on the short side though? ;)
Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.

Well yes, another 50 ft and they'd be perfect.  ;D ;)
