Cool. But the butterfly tail's angle of incidence looks a little weird in the picture's perspective?

I think it's mostly the photo, but they are still just temporarily tacked on with a dab of CA.  Once I get the nose done and rockets I'll finish up construction with getting the tail permanently attached.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

As the idea evolves I'm thinking about reversing the Gnat slipper tanks to become booster rockets, to accelerate the missile to mach 1.5 for the terminal phase of the profile.  I don't want to make it too cluttered looking, but I kinda like the idea of these boosters.  It would give the missile a flight profile where it leaves the carrier Vulcan, proceeds at medium altitude and Mach .8 towards the target area, then when it reaches defended airspace drops down to 200 feet and accelerates to M.9, then in the last few minutes to target the boosters accelerate it to M1.5ish.

Thoughts?

Its certainly not going to be needing the flaps and it gets the hot exhaust away from the fuselage and tail surfaces. Only issue that I can think of would be asymmetric light-off. But I'm reliably informed that in whif-world everything is 100% reliable, unless it is unreliable to suite the needs of "the creator".

Hypergolic fuels, that's the way to go. Ask an Me-163 pilot.....................  ;)

Just about ready for decals.  Since the Red Fly was classified and test flights carried out a Woomera (and ended in destruction), there was no need for a flashy paint scheme to wow the crowds at Farnborough.  So the first four prototypes flew in primer. Ailerons were painted on fluorescent orange to assist chase plane tracking.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Cool. And now the Valiant to hang it under...  ;)

That looks REALLY good, and the colour scheme is tremendous!

Cool!

I was picturing it in bright red, or day-glo orange with fluoro yellow control surfaces but that works.

As was I, and yes it does

So was it nicknamed the "flying courgette" by the ground crew ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I considered red, but didn't want the base Gnat shape to make it look like a Red Arrows scheme.  I have a plan for a manned version with the same basic layout...that one may end up as a Red Arrow.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Too late for some of those black and white checkerboard symbols? Looks cool!

If it was being tested at Woomera, then it would be flying zucchini.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There will definitely be BW checkerboards.
I searched long and hard for decals for that.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Lovely job there AD, you'd never figure out the Gnat-ness of it from the rear view.
