Several prototypes were constructed of the Nissen Hut before the final design was selected .

The Trapezoid design was a failed prototype rejected in favour of the more familiar semi circular design

Don't forget to paint it in a prototype and not an operational scheme.

It's always puzzled me why the UK government bought huts from a country the UK was at war with.
Why didn't they use Morris or Austin Huts instead?

Well, Mercades or Bergward huts would have been more expensive....
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

tigercat

It was due to criminal under investment  in the UK hut  industry pre war

Also if the Whiffies have a category for Whiff related deadpan humour this year can I nominate Zenrat

Thats if Chris, or one of his operatives, doesn't do me in first.

I don't have operatives, they are acolytes
