Presumably any Joe & Jane Publics at the museum that day won't be able to come and view our stuff if we already have the maximum number of people there, right?

Unfortunately that would be the case.
If it was a summer date we could have put on a display in the main hanger. But I speak from experience, that same hanger is bleedin cold in November.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I'd be very happy to attend local lockdowns permitting, and happy to contribute if I can't make it. I should have a few nice items ready (masters arrived today), just need to photograph them and get them sent off to CMR for them to work their magic.

In principle, yes.  Family matter ongoing that may impact, but unlikely to do so.  Will confirm ASAP.

Family matter resolved, I'm available and up for this but sadly at the mo I suspect coviddery will kibosh the meeting.

Well. So far we are booked in at MAM for Saturday 7th November.

So feel free to either post your intention to attend here or PM me.  Remember we have a max number of 13 places available. 3 of which are already spoken for with Me, Trevor and Richard already on the list.

Of course things may change at any moment dependant of the local conditions in and around Coventry at the time.
I always hope for the best.

I'll have to head home to collect my models first though, but do I care? NO!

In my case I think it all depends on the lifting of Tier 2 restrictions in Essex and London. I wouldn't want to put anyone at risk either medically or legally. Not too sure how a museum visit with a group counts under these rules.
We shall have to see what the situation is nearer the time.

I'm going to have to give it a miss lads. Even if we don't get moved to Tier 3 it would mean at least one, possibly two nights in a hotel and the Avanti West Coast booking system is already talking about changes to schedule and cancellations  :-\

When the train company says "check up nearer your planned departure date to see if our services are running" (and I'm not blaming them) I think it's a no-no.

Dave don't worry about that book, hopefully pick it up next year

Good call Nick.  Damn.  Will have to decontaminate somewhere on the M6 as will (at the mo) be heading from Manchester.  Have begun campaign  to get Coventry into Tier 2.  Helps us all out then!

I am still interested in attending, and I've spoken to Mike McEvoy and he is also keen to come. Are you sure the 13 number is still applicable, isn't it 6 now or am I completely confused by the rules?

Colin

AFAIK more than one group of six are allowed so long as the groups are six feet apart. It'd be like a pub, but with no beer..............

one is merely advised not to travel to/from tier 3 areas.

Currently

Is traveling from one Tier 3 area to another allowed ? Bet that would confuse any cabinet minister asked, junior or otherwise

I joke, but in all honesty it is getting a tad confusing and I see S Yorkshire went Tier 3 today.
