Why not Double Wasp ?:D

Because a Centaurus and the original Pegasus were both made by Bristol........

Well, in that case, how about the other Pegasus.

Is it necessary? Swordfish could already take off vertically in a strong headwind.

Yup and in a strong head wind it could hover above the flight deck of the auxiliary carrier it was based on and be pulled onto the deck by the ships company according to my dear old dad  ;D

Installation of the Merlin might mean it could also overtake the seagulls when flying into a head wind. TAG on dad's ship swore that a seagull once overtook them  ;D

I watched the FAA Historic Flight Swordfish, coded '5A' in those days, do a 'reverse loop' at a BoB Day Display at RAF Abingdon. The wind speed got higher and higher as 5A was en route and we thought the pilot would abandon the display and return to Yeovilton, but he was made of sterner stuff and came on, albeit VERY slowly!  :o

When he arrived he slowed to almost walking pace, went nose up a little and climbed almost vertically to about 2000 ft, then throttled back until the 'fish was going slower than the wind and reversed across the airfield! With a little nose down trip he then descended, again almost vertically, and eventually plonked it on the runway, with a ground roll of about two fuselage lengths!

It was very impressive, but 5A was stranded at Abingdon for a couple of days while the wind dropped and the maintenance team from Yeovilton came up to check her over.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Butterfly tail was indeed a great idea :) Today Lublin received it's wings :)

You might need tail weight to stop it tricycling...
;)

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

that is a typical whiffing-caused problem  ;)

It is isn't it.  However it looks awesome.  Like its straight out of a less than serious anime.  Something more worried about style than engineering accuracy.

Give it a tricycle undercarriage! With spats! ;D

Now with those floats it has a certain Macchi vibe. A few of their Schneider Cup racers had a similar look, especially the push/pull design they did. Sans the butterfly tail of course  ;)

Could this be Poland's entry for the races ?

Scotaidh

That does look unexpectedly good.  Will there be a ventral component to the tail?

Good idea but not this time :) I have a whole story now and I'm not gonna change it in civil way :)

Nope. Just as it is now.

Anyway, struts are in places, glued and puttied. Now it's time to sand.

Weaver

This is looking MEAN!

Now all it needs is Indiana Jones' dad in the rear cockpit with the guns...
