Interesting.  I have never, until now, considered what a tank would smell like.  I would imagine the interior would smell of oil, grease, smoke, sweat, blood and feet.

Given that the crews basically lived in the things then the smell of food and drink might just be present in that mix as well ? So coffee in most nation's AFV's (I don't think tea has a smell ? Tea leaves possibly, but not the brew ?) and bacon and eggs in a R.A.C. one ?
