Many wonder what if 787 used in military. With a 1/200 787-8 kit and left over parts from other kits, it becomes an AWACS.

Talking about strange AEW systems, here's something that has just come to my attention recently -- posted over on SPF the dome is a very large E-Systems dorsal radome (40 × 14.5 × 3.8 m;131.2 × 47.6 × 12.5 ft), called a `synergistic plandome', supported by multiple-strut structure above fuselage.




It was actually wind-tunnel tested too.
