Time to restart mine....

Currently building in the works....

1/72 Sword F3H2 Demon but in Dutch Navy markings....

And on the AFV production line

1/35 Irish Army Scorpion and M109/T72M1 mashup both from their participation in Gulf War one.

And in the Film Props Department

1/35 Tamiya Stegosuarus and Triceratops

One day i'll master photos here too.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Hehehehe, LOVE the thread title.  ;D ;D ;D

And yes Kit i have uncovered hitherto secret details about the PR19's 'dad' so to speak.... it naturally has longer wings and is currently in final assembly.

From the Film Props Department...

Dinos are now in the check-out stage of production and being readied for customer handover sometime next week. The base they're being
mounted on is in the varnish and paint shop. They may make one public appearance this weekend.

And in other news......

The Dutch Demon has wings and tailplanes on.

still haven't mastered photos here as Kitbasher will testify but he has seen photos of the Dutch Demon....

Not much happening here as I am now busy again as an part time Undergraduate [again] but at Newman University, Birmingham. Good thing a pandemic as I can't access Tornado Hobbies and Books, Mr Models or Parabellum but who knows in the near future. Tbh life has been very tough in recent months and is not 100% better yet, so I plod on.

Recently got my greasy mitts on the Dutch Decals roundels sheets so count on a few very dodgy Dutchmen in the near future.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hope things improve for you Howard

Thanks. Look forward to meeting again later in the year and catch up. Going thru some pre War RAF Hurricane whiff ideas, Narses2.

Having cleared the decks somewhat there is now space to begin a few new projects.

And rescue a few old ones.

The Dutch naval stuff how about a multi-role Prowler?

RAF air sampler's..... one B-29 Washington based and one derived from the Canberra PR7/9 mash up.

The RW here is sorting itself out which I am very glad about helped by the support of various friends.

But the modelling bench is seeing some activity.

The Dutch Navy Demon is inching towards the finish line. As the markings are for a training unit [Modeldecal sheet get out of jail card. Always works] the weapons fit is easy. Firestreak AAM drill round and a CBLS with the latter painted KLM light blue because I can. The gawky kit AAR probe I have replaced with a TSR2 one.

My second RAF F-111K keeps hit a brick wall, figuratively. Going for a wraparound green and grey now and probably 12 Squadron markings rather than 45 Squadron. The Hasegawa 1/72 kit is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO overengineered.

The MiG31 as an anti shipping a/c in Ukrainian markings i need to find some wheels for.

Recent trips to certain model shops in Birmingham have solved the lack of varnish problems

Well here at the Handley Page there are always plenty of ideas just never enough time.....

But leaving aside the Dutch stuff for now.

The RAF has been operating Hercules since the late 1960s  but even with the whiffers working on the case there are some gaps in coverage. Diligent
research has revealed at least three versions that hitherto escaped even our notice. And upon which model planning can begin..... in 1/72 of course

Hercules gunship serving with 9 Squadron
Hercules with a joint BAS/FAA/RAF Squadron on Polar Operations
Hercules that the erks refer to as MC Hammer

Now that the club show on August 1st and usually a good gathering of wiffers too has been caped......

Time to plot and stir the cauldron at the cauldron.

And make very cunning plans indeed.

Did you work for the railways Howard?

Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
