I'm more interested in the idea of a J79 Mirage IV as proposed in some of the earlier posts.

I'd forgotten this thread. What a cracking looking aeroplane the Mirage IV is, every schoolboy's idea of what a Mach 2 bomber should look like, especially from above the rear quarters. 

Yup must admit the Mirage IV and the B-58 were the types of aircraft I doodled in the corner of my maths excercise book

Armed with mica & a2a versions of the agm-88 harm missile a bubble canopy canard foreplanes & an F1 style horizontal tailplane plus 2 30mm cannons & a cranked arrow double delta wing that's been cropped at the wingtips for  a mica rail

Sorry about that Tophe a long interceptor with an f-1 horizontal tailplane twin vertical fins plus a cropped cranked arrow double delta wing with wingtip rails 2 cannons & a lot of air to air missiles + a single seat bubble canopy & canard foreplanes

A lesser known variant of the Mirage IV A, the Mirage IV C (unbuilt fighter version of the IV A).

That would have been even larger than a Vulcan!
