Great stuff.  Hoping my Falklands/Malvinas 40th anniversary GB proposal for 2020 does well in the voting.  Hint hint my fellow voters!!  ;)

It's making me feel old to look back on the last Falklands GB...I moderated it for the 25th anniversary.  Tempus fugit...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Just got my copy of Harrier 809, and on page 464 he even throws out "A note for model makers".  Guess we are a troubling bunch (but maybe not as whiny as spotters and photographers)!!!

First time I have seen that in something besides aircraft reference type books

Have not read yet.

I'm building an FRS.1 for my dio. I'm planning on making it one that was shot down or damaged during the conflict. Thanks for all the info guys.

Don't forget to include the Sea Eagle mods to the panel.  ;) ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Just for Reference thats is 809 SHAR XZ500 on HMS Illustrious July-Dec 1982, This was the when they sent Ilustrious down to relieve Invincible which stayed on station after the war to maintain the air defence for the islands. I was on holiday in Dorset in July 82 and saw Illustrious working up at Portand and in Lyme Bay, so saw her with Phalanx, we also did a trip to Devonport and Pompy so saw Hemes, Alacrity, Argonaut with the bomb holes patched up.

Just to confirm it, Invicibles Tugs were still Yellow when she returned home, so the light grey ones help verify its Illustrious, you can also see the additional bin lid antenna at the aft of the island that cant be seen on Invincible at the time.
