This was a fiddle to build but got there in the end. As much as I like wing tip tanks, I  thought that they wouldn't suit  the plane in this guise so I  left them off. Kit is the AZ models Martin Baker  M.B.6  2 seater.  In service  circa  1950.

I think you made the right decision about the tip tanks.

Not sure why, but for some reason, to me she looks portly ... short on the ends and thick in the middle.

I've that one in the stash mate and you've made a good job of it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The MB5 IS short on the ends and thick in the middle.  ;D

That scheme really suits it, most impressed.

I've got a couple of them too............  ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Thanks  Kit,
As soon as I  saw the kit I  thought  early 50's  fleet air arm.  I  like the clean  look of it so I didn't put the tanks on  or stick stuff under the wings.

I think so, too. A wing tip extension for a carrier aircraft (Kit will certainly like this idea) might also work well in this case?
