Hello. I'd like to participate in GB. How about aircraft which were f.ex. left on airfield after somepeace-time exercises and forgotten? When another country put them into service then it can be qualified as a capturing? 😄

TomZ

I would say that qualifies as captured.
I'm curious to see what you come up with......

Australian F-111 left on polish airfield after Eastern Surprise 1997 excercises. Repainted and put into service with Su-22.

I had a quick check with Hobbes and although the "conflict" part is a bit lacking here we've decided to allow this scenario.
So build away!

Thanks, I'll start as soon as I get back home.

I can just imagine the scene when they got back home after the exercise.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I know it's ever so late but.......

Please Mr. Mods may I have permission to do this D.520 as a backup to my SM-77?

I had started it last August, but I only glued 4 parts together, the upper and lower wings and the pilot's seat. All the rest is still loose in the box and I've not painted any of it yet.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Well Kit........
We did not yet receive any liquid or monetary motivation to expedite this request, so......

Seriously, I think the amount of construction is so minimal that we will have no problem allowing this.
Go for it!

Yehah! Thank you Tom.

As for the monetary motivation, I still have a few Guilders left from my time in the Netherlands....  ;)

Ladies and gentlemen / boys and girls,

I would like to point out that we only have two weeks left in this group build. Please make sure you put in your entries before the deadline.
We (the moderators) have not received any requests for extensions yet........

Oh hell, there's NO way I'll finish the SM77 by then, but I might mange the D.520.

Please, please PLEASE may we have extension?  ;D

A couple of months would be good, but even a lesser amount would be helpful.

The D.520's all assembled now, and in the middle of the PSR stage, so it's got a good chance of finishing inside the original end date, but the SM-77 is so ruddy complicated there's a fair amount to do, and I haven't got a drop of paint on  it yet!  :o

All,

After a long and serious debate among the moderators it was decided that we will grant a two week extension to everyone for this Group Build.

This Group Build now runs to 24:00 Sunday 14th February 2021 in everyone's local time.
