PSR on the cowlings is deemed "good enough for Post Office Work".  Some minor PSR is still needed in places but I have glued the wings in place as there is PSR needed at the roots.

That's looking very good, water-cooled engines suit the sleek Ki-46 very well.

I did one in German markings with DB 601s some time ago, and have plans for another one (a -III with the integral canopy) with DB 605s from a Me 410 and underwing coolers. also in German colors as a fast/high recce aircraft.

Thanks folks.
I had originally intended the build it with the -III canopy as I did the previous two examples I built but while the Arii -III release includes the trainer canopies the trainer release does not contain the -III clear parts.  Which was annoying.  But a change is a good as a rest.

They certainly do

Thanks folks.

It's all primed grey but there are a few last PSR touches to do before it gets it's Russian paint job.
Something like this.

Whatever colours I have in my collection which look "right".

Started with the undersides today - the lighter of the two Vallejo Sky Blues I have.

First top side paint on this today.  I went back to how I used to do this way back when and just spitballed it, painting the pattern on without any planning.

Very Mosquito-ish with the in-line engines.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Way I always do it mate, unless it's a real world build where I will try and follow the pattern on the actual aircraft.

Was thinking the same.  Really changes the look of it for the better.  Nice job!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....
