A captured Focke-Wulf Fw-189 was sent to the USA and testing it was disappointing, but before it was scrapped Lockheed engineers said those parts could improve the P-38 Lightning maybe. This gave birth to the XP-38W-189 Lightwulf prototype (later modified).

Then it was rebuilt as XP-38W-189A, focusing on the view forward : <_<

Thanks!

Of course, there was also a XP-38W-189B that was tested with both views forward and rearward: <_<

Make it a tail dragger.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks !

Make it a tail dragger.
That could be a possibility, yes, but I guess (with this code) it is a retractable undercarriage version of the XP-38W-5 glider: ;)

...and only crewed by pilots with VERY strong right legs.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Tophe

Yes: abnormal aircraft for abnormal pilot: ;D

The next one is the XP-38W-189E, with almost complete Fw-189+P-38:  <_<

If two engines are good, three are better.
