Those sound pretty good and earlier I admit to running "Talcum" through my mind as something to alter a bit. The "Talcon Fighter" like "Talcum Powder."  ;D

Very good, Tophe, I'm putting "Talcon" on the list.

On another note I was thinking more about the Talon and Tweet and I think even the names are having meaning even beyond starting with "T."  In both cases, we have "junior" versions of more prominent things. The "Tweet" is a baby bird and the "Talon" is a mere part of a larger predator. Both seem pretty fitting for names of trainers leading up to the cutting edge fighters.   Oh god, I'm such a nerd....   ;D

If you drop the animal theme and follow the Avro Tutor idea, then "Tailor" would fit, i guess... tailoring the next gen of pilots...
Should i get my coat? ;D ;D

As its for pilots going from Talons to Vipers how does T-16 Transit or Transition sound?

That's it... I'm overloaded on too much input.  ;D The suggestions are good and honed in, I like it. For now the T-16 Tupperware will move forward in paint and plastic until the intellectual aspects are settled. On that note, "T-16" is also something that needs to be fixed. It's possible that that could be what it's called but it's also possible it could be a "T-47" or some crap.  ;D

Call it what you like - the USAF's T-34 primary flight trainer was named "Mentor" ...

Hhere's a list of what's in use now:

Have it enter service in 2000 & it could be the Millenium Talcon!

Not going to bother slowing down for the hat & coat! ;D

HA!  ;D ;D   Y'all are too much. lmao

ALRIGHT... check this out...... we done went around the block and back and after having slept on it, we're reverting right back to "Valon."    ;D

I still need something to replace "T-16" however. I jokingly said "T-47" earlier but....  by golly, that might actually work. 47 is one of my favorite numbers so why not. I guess I need to look up all the T designations to see which ones were used for what so I don't accidentaly use one already taken... many never seeing the light of day but used anyway....  as far as time frame, I'm thinking late 80's through mid nineties or so. So... something manufactured in about 1987 so the program and T designation would have to fit around... whatever was happening in the mid 80s.

Today I gloss up the junk I painted yesterday and I will attempt to wet sand the thing with the final goal of getting into primer by the conclusion of festivities today.

Yeeeeahh!

I like 47 too, dunno why, it just looks like a good number.

It's a neat number! It seems that it has a funny way of showing up all in nature and.... whatever...   at an oddly frequent rate and we don't really know why. They make a "thing" of it in Star Trek, too, which is another thing I enjoy.

Before I digress.... time for an update. Before I got carried away with sanding I had to stop and finish the spine so I simply cut a chunk of sprue-rod off and shaped it with rotary tool and files/sanding and glued it in. I'll need to patch up around the bottom with putty but should be an easy fix.

You can also see how sloppy my sprue-goo was. This was the worse side of the two and the side I did last whilst I was on my way to Saturn with the goo-fumes. Nevertheless, I sanded and sanded and sanded some more and got it to the point where I was confident to glue on the intake and go ahead with primer.

So there we have it.... next phase is secondary putty and PSR then some more wet sanding followed by another coat of primer. Hopefully after that no blemishes will remain and I can start applying the actual paint scheme.

Hehehe, that's another phrase that we should adopt as a Forum 'standard'.  ;D

It's looking REALLY good, that cockpit and nose work very well on a 16.

It certainly is

For some reason I look at it and think "Boeing" ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
