Have to say, I looked at it and thought MiG-29UB...

SAME HERE!!! When I threw the canopy on it, I was like, "Hey, I seen this before!!!!"  ;D

PSR is under way. I'm almost done, though. I threw some more putty on it today and tomorrow I'll wet sand and run some sanding sticks and sanding twigs across it then re-prime. Should be good at that point then I'll paint the interior, glue on the canopy, and get into the actual paint scheme.

the F5B / T38 blends well into the F16 :
maybe other such combinations would fit well ?  ;D

Flyer

Because of this mix I've started wondering what I could graft the front section of a OA-4M kit I have onto...

Cheers, everyone!! I tell you what I'd like to see... a twin engined four poster Viper....   of course, that's much more ambitious than this is but it would be neat..........

There are many twin-engined F-16 on my site http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/f16ofil.htm (in French, ask "bimoteur" with ctrl-f)
and many four-seat F-16 (ask "quadriplace"), is four-poster meaning that?
;)
I post all that, one by one here in "F-16 derivatives" at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=39083.0 (22 pages up to now)... ;D

Nice!!! Thanks!  It's been awhile since I visited so I'll have a stroll through.

For this one, Cockpit will be done today and canopy glued on then time for paint! We'll be into decals before you know it...... but uhhhh.... I still haven't bothered looking for any. I did grab a couple of my other Talon kits out of the stash but I doubt they'll have anything I can use and I'll have to eBay in something. I'll make it a point today to get that done.  But uhhh...... yeah... if all goes well we'll see what it looks like "mostly white".

EDIT:  Just spent a good amount of time going through your website there and there was a ton of stuff I either don't remember or missed so that was pretty fun!

Thanks!
Of course this website of mine includes my first drawing of your T-16 (as mix with T-38), and when your model is finished it will be included both as model (congratulations!) and as corrected profile (by myself) for the T-16. So: thanks to you too!

Here's one you might have missed, the Alaskan F-16XL I did early last year.

As for this new "thing" I've documented the last bit of work before the final coat of primer and subsequent white-washing.

Now she's white!  (up top anyway)

I think I will let this dry for a couple days or so then wet sand it and do a second coat. I got a couple little dust things on it and there's a couple areas where I didn't clean adequately and have made some very minor crazing. I also see a few left over scratches from my heavier duty sanding that need to be smoothed out. I know they say that black is the color that telgraphs flaws in the finish (at least for real world cars... I've heard this repeated numerous times on those shows where they fix up hot-rods and restore vehicles) but I beg to differ; if there's anything at all wrong with the surface white will shout about it from the mountain top. In short, it's important (to me anyway) to get it nice and smooth.

Lastly... I'm having big time problems finding decals. The majority of after market stuff is 1/48 and I need 1/72. Of any kits already in my possession (or on the market, even) the Sword is the only one that comes close to having decals that would work.  They would work in a pinch, although I'm not going to get Sheppard or Vance unless I switch to the modern two tone "camo" scheme. Not trying to do all that. If anyone happens to have a spare set of the decals from the Sword 1/72 kit, give me a shout. In the meantime I'll do more digging.

She's looking good in white. Re the decals, maybe an old hasegawa T-38 could provide what you need? They seem to have decals for all white Talons so, maybe that could be an option...
