Aficionados  of  Alice in Wonderland  will understand the concept of the "unbirthday present"**

I have just received an unbirthday/unChristmas  present from my older son and his wife.  They accepted a half dozen Zvedza 1/100 scale kits from a colleague who didn't want them knowing that I'd be interested:-

1 Fairey Battle
3 AEC Matador
2 Matilda 1  tanks

I can see a diorama developing here......Russia 1941.......Norway 1940.......Syria or Iraq 1941........ any other ideas?

**  You have 1 birthday a year.......so that means you have 364 unbirthdays

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Mrs_PR19 and I were WELL into 'un-birthdays', an excellent concept.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

The Revell Tornado reboxed with resin and etched brass. Nice price too.

The "old" Italeri Tonka or Revell's own, über-complicated mold? Good luck with the latter, esp. the pylons...

These are probably my last acquisitions of 2021 in terms of modelling products, the old Hasegawa 1/48 F4U-7 Corsair, Tamiya lacquer thinner, extra thin glue and Trumpeter's rivet maker.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Likely my last 'big' acquisitions for the year, both from the eBay Fairy

1/48 Monogram PBY-5 Catalina
1/48 Hasegawa SH-3H Sea King

Both kits I've wanted for a long while but have not found them at a price I was willing to pay.  Got lucky last week and found both for a little over half the normal selling price.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....
