A nice little box from Brassin today; a pair of 1/48 B61 nuclear bombs.

One is probably going on my current build-real world A-6E.  The other is most likely set aside for a Luftwaffe Super Hornet, or possibly a USAF Tornado.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Your a bit behind the curve there as they already operate them

Really?    So is  that where all of our old Tornadoes went?

I did wonder if that would be picked up a while after I posted it.

The F-18 being operated by the Luftwaffe was what I was refering to.

The Luftwaffe is looking to buy 15 F-18G to fill the electronic warfare role previously filled by the Tornado. They also want 30 F-18F to spread the support costs and flying hours across a wider fleet.
The catch is that Germany (and not the USN) now needs to pay up to make the F-18 carry the B-61 nuke as part of their NATO role.

Might want to double check your source there....Germany has selected Hornets for the B61 mission but actual service is a few years away.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Sorry Gondor but this post really rubs me the wrong way.  If you are going to tell me I'm behind the curve at least have your facts right.  Your response does not feel like it is in the spirit of this board and you look foolish when you are the one who is wrong.

Oi, mate! Cool down! I think you just got the wrong end of the stick and unintentionally so. I read the above as a joking reference to the American B-45 Tornado, nothing else.

I'm sure Gondor will verify, but I saw no bad will - and none from your side either.

Set of Yugoslav Mosquito decals arrived from Blackbird.

Quick look on Google shows that they need tropical filters that were not marked on the sheet.

Yugoslavia, tropical?  ;D
Did they have a Pacific island or something?

They were primarily dust filters were they not? So would be specified wherever there were dusty strips to operate from irrespective of the climate.

Xtradecal's recent Mosquito sheet arrived and full of errors. What is purported to be a B.XXV is actually an NF.XIX. But there's a T.3 from Acklington I'm itching to do.

Don't worry about it.  We all have days like that.  Much more important topic is "Are you still enjoying your new type rating?"
