Apologies for my tone last night.  Long frustrating day.

Normal service has resumed.

Don't worry about it.  We all have days like that.  Much more important topic is "Are you still enjoying your new type rating?"

Xtradecal's recent Mosquito sheet arrived and full of errors. What is purported to be a B.XXV is actually an NF.XIX. But there's a T.3 from Acklington I'm itching to do.

Which sheet is that, Lee?  Am assuming it's 1/72 but I can't find an Xtradecal sheet with B.XXVs on it.

X72232.  Annoyingly, I already have the 618 Sqn option on another sheet.  Honestly, it's full of flaws.  The two RCAF B.XXs should have yellow leading edges (not got the photos of the two aircraft but I have of several other aircraft, inc. one in colour, from the same unit in the same timeframe and they have yellow leading edges).  The aforementioned B.XXV cock-up.  Several aircraft had the larger tropical intakes fitted and no mention, neither is there mention of the wing leading edge landing light that should be on both T.IIIs (the yellow one I already have on another sheet). I'm not convinced that the 305 (Polish) sqn option is correct either - silver dope overall in 1944?  Need a photo to be convinced of that.

Edit: an internet search for other Mosquitoes turned up a photo of the B.XXV coded R1 on the sheet.  And yes, yellow leading edges.

Just ordered some 1/32 wheel inserts & figures from Dart Hobbies:

Wire spoke with 2-ear Knock-offs
4-spoke Escort Mk 2-type (or nearly so - only a little fettling needed)
and 'Thelma & Louise' -well, it would have been rude not to.

And the nice bonus? The KiwiBuck is stronger than the Canadian, so the amount charged was LESS than that shown at checkout for a change!

True.  Sigh. :-\ I was being unduly optimistic...

"Mmm, that'll need some alterations I think there, skipper.  How about a nice bijou chopper pad over the stern or would you prefer the bow?  Some thrusters to keep it steady as well?  How about a nice repaint, a nice grey should do it!"

The bow, there's a ruddy great crane over the stern deck................

Barracuda decals P-51D mustang pt.1 (contains decals for "The Millie P/G" and amorous Len and a couple of others )
And an Eduard Overtrees for a F6D/K both in 1/48, I was actually going to get two of the overtrees, but I was only allowed to put one in my basket?, so I added two eduard space instrument panel sets instead. These have 3D printed instrument panels and placards and photo-etch pre-colored seat belts and some other tiny stuff. At first glance the Mustang Overtrees seem to be the typical eduard many parts and complicated to build up sections. But look really nice on the sprues with plenty of left overs.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Might pitch a bit in a rough sea there, Skipper.  The stern is a nicer place.  We could just extend the boat a bit and move the crane...

Enlarge the crane and go for a skyhook system?

Hmmmm, there's an idea.

It'd need a long boom as the rotor is quite large, maybe 4.5" dia in 1/72.
