1 x 1/72 Avalon 7028 Mirage III in IAF/IDF Service

Is that the Avalon decals or a model?

$2 op-shop find today, Revell P-3A Orion, not that many parts to it but surprisingly all of them are in the box.  The instructions say it's 1:144 and scalemates say it's 1:115 but I don't care which it is as I'll probably end up scalorama'ing it or using it for part's anyway.

Good find.  I have yet to ever find a model kit in an Op Shop.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I have on occasion, but not very often.
You'd probably have to keep doing the rounds regularly, or put your name down for any that come in - if they'd do that.

In the distant past I've found a few kit's but even if they were marked as complete they were always missing part's, recently (last 2 years) SWMBO and I go around all the local shops almost daily and from that I've managed to pick up a 1:48 F-111 (Academy I think), 1:72 IDEA F-18, 1:72 Revell Dr.1 and today's Orion, out of those only the Dr.1 is missing one part, happens to be the cowl so it would be quite noticeably absent if built oob.

Good scores.
Would starting with a round figure base and extending the edge to the rear with  a section of tube, while cutting away part of the flat front be a useful idea?

Flyer

Good suggestion Rick but if I build it as the intended Triplane I'd like to put a inline engine into it instead of the rotary anyhow, but it's much more likely that I'll be pinching the upper wing, tail group and wheel's for an idea I've had for a scratch built 80's styled ultralight.

Sort of like a Dr.1/D.VII combination? Interesting.

The ultralight sounds intriguing too.

That combo is exactly what I had in mind

And the ultralight is something I wanted to build full size, I brought a set of plans for a Tyro Mk2 and was going to add scallops to the wing trailing edge and change the shapes of the tail and pod to make it look Fokker-ish, doubt I'll ever get around to doing the full size now though but a similar shaped model is doable.

Sounds more interesting...

PR19_Kit

Yet another Mikro-Mir kit (I must be mad....) a 1/144 Beverley kit.

Actually the MM Bev seems to have been designed and moulded by a different company to the one that did the Aerovan and the AW52.  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
