It's been a slow few weeks for me with no kit purchases in over a month, but today I got a nice little package from Colin at Freightdog with a Hawker P.1083 Supersonic Hunter conversion and a set of 1/48 Spitfire floats.

I haven't built a 1/72 kit in ages but planning on combing the P.1083 set with the P.1109 set I already have to make an in service radar equipped supersonic Hunter.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I have just  ordered  the super sonic  conversion  set from Colin  too as I have a few variations of Hunter I  want to  do. I am currently  doing  the tandem  2 seat  version, which  will be armed with agm-45 shrike missiles  for hunting SAM units in  north Africa.

I just pulled the trigger on a package of 75X 25mm round bases for $15 including shipping.
Yes, circa 0.20 cents per - and that's from a place here in NZ, not China!

And a couple of Model Master acrylic paints for when I eventually get around to painting the WW2 GIs I am slowly cobbling together.

Eminently sensible combination

Good to buy local and at a nice price. Is that NZ $ ? If so it's an extremely good price

Four Airfix Quick Build kits, on offer at Lidl:
Red Arrows Hawk
Harrier
Spitfire
Messerschmitt 109

Bought the Spitfire & Hawk last week for the girls to do in half term.  They went down very well so I picked up the 109 and Harrier today.

Lego style kits, they build up very easily into a recognisable kit.  They survive being played with well, if bits fall off you just clip them back on.  The only issue was the Spitfires prop kept falling off as the noggin that helps it spin doesn't stay on, a drop of glue solves the problem.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I don't see any of those in my Quick Books   ;) ;) ;)

It certainly is - I was sure it was a typo, or we'd started into April... it's even cheaper than Ali Express, which I didn't think I'd ever see over here.

Edit: and just received advice from NZ Post saying both parcels have been delivered. 2 days from Auckland, even with a slightly increased Alert Level? Works for me!

Captain Canada

Recieved my Sword AD-4W? Skyraider AEW.1. Nice kit for a great price from ebay seller decal_supply_corps ( 15872 )

I'm hoping to make it a Skyshark if I can.

Realized during my recent Spitfire FR Mk. 23 build that my inkjet decal paper supply runs low, so I ordered some new Experts-Choice clear waterslide decal paper sheets.

From BNA model world.

Vallejo pigments set - dirt & stuff for weathering vehicles.
Quickboost 1/72 Wyvern exhausts - the Trumpeter kit (which hasn't arrived yet) needs them.
Quickboost 1/72 Pratt & Whitney R2800-34W Double Wasps, with cowlings, for Monogram Tigercat.  For whiffing purposes.  I now have two sets of these so maybe something large...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
