The Wooksta!

Snagged a Superscale Mosquito sheet off ebay, as it covers a few post war aircraft I'd like to do.

Tamiya 1/48 P-38.  Since the color and marking options for this kit are pretty limited in the real world realm this will pretty much definitely be a Whif.  Thinking Marines maybe.

The reviews and builds I've seen in magazines suggest it's right up there with Tamiya's best  How about RAAF or RNZAF in the SW Pacific ?

I built one OOB last summer.  It's got to be close to as good as a plastic scale model can get.  I Like your ideas...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Try Scalemates. Although not every model listed has a link to one or more shops selling the model, it will at least give you information about who is or has made them.

Tried and all I could find was nameplates in brass  :o

This result may be because I'm not as talented with search engines as the next guy, and I willingly admit that, but as someone apparently had found a kit, I'm still curious..  ;)

Another ebay win, another Mosquito sheet, that I already have but had used the SEAC option many years back on a Hornet.  The sheet by Eagle Strike is intended for the Tamiya/Hasegawa FB.6 yet for some stupid reason known only to the retard who chose the subjects for it, one of the options from it is on the Tamiya kit decals...

And looking at my copy again, at least two options are repeated from their earlier Mosquito sheet. Lazy tossers...

I snaffled an Execuform 1/72 Grumman Mallard a couple of days ago from Rare-Plane Detective. Been after one for eons to complete my Grumman flying boat collection.

Had to look that up, wasn't aware of it before.

Cheers, I may well pick one up when the UK show circuit resumes, even though it's not my usual scale.

Not sure if it was aimed at the military or not, but it's a size in between the Gosling and the Albatross. Execuform kits are going to be very rare, the owner Mike Herrick retired a couple of years ago, not sure what has happened to all the moulds. Same with Combat Models, the owner there has serious health problems.

A lot of the people behind Vacforms are all getting on now and I doubt there will be many willing to take them on. The technology will dwindle over time.

I think Neil Gaunt of Aircraft in Miniature will be next, he's getting on too --

Airfix Seaking.

Just under $20 after shipping... ol' boy knocked off $5 to make it that way so I figured what the hell. Been a good while since I bought a kit. This is great for getting into the spirit of things for the GB.  ;D   I don't plan on using it any time soon and may not anyway; I rather like it as a part of my "this is a neat kit" collection just to sit around on display. It's sealed and quite nice! Looks like a whif right in the box and even mentions "prototype model" and there's no official, real world agency on it. N-number is also fictitious. It does have that decal up front (that has a couple reindeer/elk and a pine tree) that says "In God We Trust"  which adds interest in an anachronistic type of way sort of like seeing decals of tobacco products; they're things of the past and of their time.  Comes with the little figures, too, which is always welcome!!

That's the 1969 Airfix mould according to scalemates.
Wonder if it still has the torpedos and the dunking sonar.  Great Lakes PD?

Today I received from BNA ModelWorld some paints.  some glue, Eduard PE set for the Tamiya Pibber and this;

I like the weathered engine cowling on the box art.  I really must build some of these WW1 aircraft I keep buying.
