The Wooksta!

Waiting on more Mosquito decals from ebay.  The Berna sheet, mainly, although it's largely full of French markings I'll never use but also Turkish and the other style of Dominica Republic markings.

The Wooksta!

Two decal sheets arrived via eBay. Both Vingtor, Norwegian Spitfires and BOAC Mosquito B.IV.

And Uncle Frank is open again so I relieved him of a Special Hobby Barracuda - I've got one anyway but I have something else in mind for it - this one is going real, 618 Sqn in Australia. They had several, intended for inter-ship communications but they ended up as general hacks.

From the Paint Rack Coventry which reopened yesterday morning

Rehomed an Airfix Whitley and the Beaufighter with the Portugal AF markings.

Have a very cunning plan indeed for the Whitley!

Only went in for some Humbrol matt black and Revell Contacta cement like!

Good to see that, at least, some of your LHS's have survived the lock-downs!

Received the Dart order from Canadia, I was beginning to get concerned it had 'walked'... well, 6 weeks was a bit more than I was expecting.
But all's well after all.

Just ordered a set of 1/288 SOFIA markings, for the modified Academy 747 I am hacking away at.

I made some transfers for another member of the model car club and last night he gave me one of these.  It's bagged, and has no engine or rear axle (both would have been used in a scale hot rod) but a quick look seems to indicate all the other parts are there and there are two complete bodies.

It has great whiffing potential...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh yes, I have one of those kits too, it's very good.

Mine has been turned into a 1/24 scale slot racer so I have all the other bits surplus if they're of any use to you Fred?

I was too.  ;D

Only found out the evening before via messenger Old Wombat. Caused total alteration to my plans for yesterday! I even postponed a trip
to the barbers for a much needed haircut by 24hrs.

Latest acquisitions to the stash, one kit and three Me 109 accessories.

Why the Eduard Spitfire one might ask ? Well the very early Mk I along with the Mk XIV are probably my favourite versions of the Spitfire. I also wanted to see if it's as good a kit as the reviews say and it's also a chance to see if 1/48 scale is any better for my hand/eye coordination issues ?

You get loads of spares, including two fuselage options for which I've no idea what the differences are ? I've also read  that the pilots on the box top illustration are Eduard employees, including the CEO.

Going to move this up to near the top of the build list.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Arrived via eBay
Heller Gladiator - was more interested in the extra decal sheet that came with it, a Kits at War sheet with a Belgian option on it. Actually, they're all Belgian and the two Hurricanes look tempting.

Also acquired the Berna Mosquito sheet. Not interested in the French ones, it's the Turkish and Dominican Republic options I want to do.

That box art is brilliant,  I  would  cut that picture out and frame  it.

Not a kit but certainly involved a bit of plastic... Tickets to the Shuttleworth Airshow on 2nd May.

It's a drive-in only, no hangar tours, and you have to book a dedicated space for your car or party to ensure social distancing. On the plus side it means no heads in the way or elbow battles with other families.
