Sprue Brothers New Arrivals included a little gem I've been waiting for...inbound to arrive next week a certain new-tool Cold War bomber named for a god of fire from nice Mr Airfix.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Update - i emailed Allen about the broken bits, just as feedback about the packaging and he's given me a full refund which was a surprise

You got the slightly damaged £75 kit AND a full refund?

That sounds like a REAL deal!!!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking
I think I lost about £6 in the exchange rates etc but still a £75 kit for £6 is a remarkable result  and it means I still have a bottle of good single malt whisky for xmas

You certainly need to raise a glass to Allen

Something i've been vacillating over for a while.
I love the look (which might just be the colour scheme) plus it has huge whifftential.

It's a heavy kit weighing in at a bit under 2kg.  The number 37028 in the bottom RH corner of the lid refers to the number of parts...

...I daren't take it out of the bag as I am convinced it'll never fit back in the box if I do.

Having seen the sprue shots (>>LINK<<), I don't doubt it.  Individual link tracks.  Full interior.  Apparently, full engine.

I've gone cross-eyed looking at the instructions and counting parts. I needed pencil and paper to add it all up. Only 1140 parts, plus 58 pieces of PE. Give or take.

That includes the 190 track segments and the 60 parts for the wheels.  :o

Good luck with building that ZENRAT. See you in a couple of months  ;D

if you look on Scalemates you will find that 37028 is the kit number not the parts count!

The engine is the same one I put in a 1/25 Hot Rod a bit ago.
These full detail Mniart kits intrigue me and i feel I should try to build at least one.
