Which kit was your 234 please? It looks very good.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Unknown Kit, it was one of several 1/72 built kits I bought at my local hobby shop by unknown modeler.  The builder brought in several kits to sell in the owners display case.  At $5 US a kit, think it was more a case of a guy that was more interested than funding his hobby than trying to make any money off it.  I bought it as reference for a planned Ar-234 build. Whoever did it, did a great job on the camouflage.

Teaser on the Beagle camouflage.  The Taliban were not noted for their concern about the cleanliness of their equipment for their Material Inspections, or Pass-in-Review ceremonies for visiting dignitaries. ;)

I'd assume that it is a Lindberg Ar 234, built OOB:

I like the Supermarine Attacker floatplane in the background of one of those pic's, is there a thread somewhere for that one?

Edit: I found it after a brief search

Doh!  :banghead:

Of course, how stupid of me. I've got a couple of them in The Loft too.

That's a goodie, yes.

I like that VTOL Jaguar as well, way out in left field.

The Lindberg Ar 234 was a top notch kit when it came out and it still builds up as a beautiful kit (obviously). I think Lindberg kits got a bad reputation because they didn't keep up with mold/model technology. Their 1/48 Me 262 is a beautiful kit, too.

Not all the pictures survived the Photobucket extortion.

Finished. Il-28 Beagle, captured at Bagram Air Base and put into service by the Taliban during the Afghan civil war.

Ar-234 for lineage and scale

That's VERY good Dave, most impressive.

It has a wonderful 'dilapidated' look to it, nice one.

That came out great! The mismatched nacelles and weathering give it a good "we barely know what we're doing, but it flies" feel to it.

Turned out great!   Dirty as hell, as is tradition.  ;D
