Pretty simple I hope. The kit is 1/3rd of the old "3 Piece Adversary Set."   I've already made one of them about 3 years ago:

This wasn't captured, rather, the designed licensed from the Ferengi and used as a mining vessel (I think that's what it was.... in my mind, the little pincers are for cutting up asteroids or something and the little stripey thing on top can detach to do.... whatever    ...have I mentioned back story is not my strong suit?  ;D).

This BoP will certainly be captured, however, and painted up with glorious Federation colors.... white, lots of blues and some red here and there...   the wing panels will be fun.. I'm going to fetch just about every shade of blue I have to make a sort of... uhh.... mosiac-ey looking type of effect.

Like with the Marauder above, all the effort and time will be wrapped up in the painting of it. There's a grand total of 9 parts and I plan to paint it in a way that hides seams because a lot of it needs to be painted prior to assembly for various reasons so... I won't even be dealing with a lot of PSR so gluing and all that could well take less than 10 minutes. Hell, it may take longer cleaning up the sprue gate remnants than it will be putting it together.  ;D   On that note, the Marauder above was even LESS parts and it took about 3 minutes to build.  ;D  I digress......

More to come soon I hope. After I'm done with the cleaning up of the burrs and stuff from removing the parts from the trees, I'll get right into paint. Might not even prime... the white I will use has primer in it and so long as I clean the plastic up just before I paint it should go down without a hitch.

Q'pla!

Ok, this has me interested.

That Ex Ferengi ship came out nice as well

Great idea, one I was toying with at the beginning, but getting hold of a BoP kit in the UK for a reasonable price is nigh on impossible.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

What the hell is it with Star Trek kits?!?  I guess there's less of them, in general, but I can hop on eBay and find an old Mustang or something for $4 but if I want an old Star Trek kit I better be prepared to pay through the teeth. This is the main reason I haven't been building Star Trek stuff. Every time I go to look at kits I get sticker shock.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE INTEREST!!!  Starting the painting today after all me chores and stuff.

Sci-fi kits in general I think, probably the licenses hike the prices up. But even some of the none licensed stuff such as from Pegasus Hobbies can be expensive.  It doesn't help over here in the UK that the vast majority are imported which jumps the price up again.

As for THIS kit.... well, It's all painted in base colors. 4-5 parts are in primer grey and the rest in white. The white went down beautifully and I'm happy as hell with it.... Now it's all a matter of brush painting. I remember when I started this part on the Marauder it took days. This time I have better brushes and I've honed my skills. I can detail paint much better these days so I'm hoping things speed along. I dragged out a bunch of paints last night to use for the "mosaic" on the wings. Other than a red striped running down the side, I haven't thought much about how to paint the rest aside from the engine vents (I guess they are...). But, see, that's the fun part. I'll wait until after I've painted the rest of the stuff then inspiration will hit. Things could potentially take off at this point. The transfers won't be here for another couple days at minimum so the plan is to get the painting knocked out by then.

It did but it's starting to wear off here 6 and whatever hours later. Time to recharge the dilithium crystals a wee bit I suppose.  ;D

I've been trying all sorts of different coffee lately....   ever since I got a new Mr. Coffee about a month or so back.  It's been a roller coaster ride. To top it all off, I STARTED my journey with Death Wish coffee.  :o ;D   My tolerance has gone up since then but still....    trying so much different stuff makes it difficult to dial in so I that I'm neither over-amped nor lacking "energy."

I tried a new one the other day that was a chicory blend....... Jury is still out on that one, at first I thought I liked it because the taste was different. Then, upon further review, I was a little less impressed because it was like a 2X4 was steeped in with it. Of course, I take all mine black with no alterations but this one might be a good one for some cream, sugar, and hazlenut or something but I haven't put any extras in my coffee since 2005.  ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

TCO, you're going to want to add sheet styrene to the joint between the engines and wings to eliminate the gap, as well as fabricate an engine section, and separate the "shields" from the grills and fabricate a mount for them on the wing. I used my Generations model as a guide. I've built two, so speaking from experience.

White coffee, tastes like hazelnuts, 2×-3× the caffeine and far less bitter. Doesn't need creamer except to cool it down, lol

Dude!!!  Thanks!! I was wondering about what to do w/ the gaps. I've built this one in the past and it always irked me that if you don't position it just so you can see right through the middle of it. lmao  I'll definitely button it up.... glad you said something.    (OH and here's another funny story about these kits, I glued the the nacelles on the Romulan one inside out like a dipshit HAHAHA!! )  ;D

But only the real STGeeks(tm) would know the difference - we'll never tell (or care too much either). ;)

I like the small BoP kit, I started one a good few moons ago and really must finish it one day... he says...

The prices, well... apart from Paramounts' pound of flesh extortion licensing fees, they're now all OOP as far as AMT or whoever goes.
Hence the collectors' prices.  :banghead:
Maybe Round2 will start up with them again at some stage, who knows? They have the TNG Romulan craft in their range, but not the other 2 from the old Adversary kit - it seems they've split them up, as they did with the Enterprise 0/A/D and B/C/E sets.
