Supprised you don't just have the stand with the label on it saying that the ship is cloaked?

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Oh God... I hadn't considered that. It would be hilarious and people would be forced to accept it.  ;D

Not much done on this yesterday but I did put styrene sheet onto the "thingies" that needed it so we won't have gaps in the thing. A bit of refinemnt and paint and we'll be right back where we were which is to start brush painting.

That's actually one of the display options given in the larger-scale BoP kit!  ;D :o

One of the few instances I've seen of intentional assembly instruction humour from a major manufacturer.

TheChronicOne

HAA!!!!!  That's awesome......    Is that the recent one with the landing gear? I've been wanting that one.

No, it was the AMT kit back in the day.

Though I hadn't realized it had been re-released - they note the later boxings have new parts, so it could now be with added landing gear?

Slowly getting paint on. I did the corrections to the engine things as well.

I've done little with this but with the deadline approaching and renewed enthusiasm I am back to work. I finished the upper panel-work and have started on the bottom. The bottom panels will be all red so that will help speed things along. I will use two varying shades, however, so it will have a bit more depth than just using all the same tone... or... hue.... tint.... whatever'n the hell the proper term is.   :o ;D

Painting those tiny panels isn't the easiest thing I've ever attempted.   I'm glad to be beyond the toughest of it. In fact, the stuff on the bottom will be applied using markers, so even though I'm not finished with the panel work completely, I'm definitely "over the hump."

I plan to finish that tomorrow and then move into getting the rest of it painted. I hope the speed picks up at this point!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks! And I just realized that I think I want to just leave those.... uhhh... engines are whatever they are that grey color, which is just my primer.

I'll be back to work on this one today... I plan to get all the red stuff on the bottom done, at least.

Trying desperately to get this done. This is all about the paint and the paint is tedious. I'm somewhere over 90% done, however, and have started a bit of clear coating and assembly.

Earlier.

One problem I have is that it's so small finding space for any transfers is difficult. Especially after having painted a bunch of area.....     good thing is I've found enough room for at least a couple red stripes/with Starfleet delta and hopefully I can add a bit more. I never planned on putting a name on it so that helps but it's looking like this will have very minimal actualy "markings" and most everything will just be paint work.
