That's amazing.

And I'd hate to meet it half way down a narrow country lane!  :o

No such thing Downunder, Kit.  We have oodles of room for roads.  It is an interesting looking vehicle indeed.  Well done, Guy.

Indeed, everytime I return to, and drive in the UK I am horrified how narrow the roads are.

Thank you all, gents!

Kit, if you're meeting this coming the other way on a narrow country lane under its own power, then there's a huge wall of fire behind you which is probably much, much scarier! ;)

That's come out really well mate

Just make sure you patent it. You know what some of these Far Eastern conglomerates are like ?  ;)

Thanks, Chris!

Can you patent a what-if model design based on two actual, existing vehicles?

This area being the Forest of Dean, there's one lane I drive down fairly regularly where the hedges are maybe 8 feet high on both sides, and BOTH wing mirrors of my Volvo are brushing both hedges at the same time.

THAT'S narrow!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

He's ahead of you!  My low friends in high places tell me that he has already  negotiated  a good  deal with JCB.

Exactly the same in deepest darkest Herefordshire, where you might meet a mighty agricultural tractor-mounted cludgering machine round the next bend........so like Kit, I'm good at reversing into the nearest field entry..............and as for rural Cumbria, where I learned to drive,  some of the Lake District roads are signed "NO MORE THAN THREE SHEEP ABREAST".  Some years ago, Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called out to rescue a motorist who had taken the road round the west side of Derwentwater and then frozen in panic on a "rather exposed"  section.

Probably as long as you play with the existing vehicle designs a little  ;)

With things like this I'm always reminded of how the Japanese pilot in Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines came up with his aircraft design. Took a bit from a model of 3 existing competitors and put them together and, voila, or whatever that is in Japanese  ;D Mind you when the film was made this was also a not to subtle comment on Japanese business and industrial practices of the day

I used to live at the foot of the South Downs.  One way into Brighton was by the road over Ditchling Beacon.  This was a narrow two lane road which wound up the North face of The Downs.
Riding up it one day on my motorbike I came round a corner to encounter a queue of stationary traffic.  Overtaking the queue I found it to be caused by a combine harvester, with the cutters still attached,   The operator had decided he could just drive down.  He hadn't got very far.  I ducked under the cutters and continued up the hill passing an equally long traffic queue behind him.
This was in the days before mobile phones so they could have been sitting there for a loooong time waiting for it all to be sorted out.

I shall be away & off-line for a couple of days, sorting through my late mother's remaining belongings at my sister's house.

Please, try not to get too off-topic while I'm gone!? :-\ ;)

Splendid job - nice one!

Now all you have to do is find a use for the original turret. ;)

A big turret (KV2?) mounted on the digger's chassis would look interesting.
