I know we say this a lot here, but it's very Gerry Anderson.  I can see it rolling out of one of Thunderbird Two's pods.

Second that. With a clear dome it would make an excellent lunar vehicle, esp. in the basic primer livery.  ;D

Looks like a tracked flying saucer.  :o

Is that what the decals are for?

Yes, it is. As can I.

Yes, it does*.

Yes, it is.

;D ;D ;D

[*: I found myself playing with it for several hours, when I first put it together, mentally converting it into numerous different types of spaceship, ground vehicle, hover vehicle & shuttle. I think every sci-fi modeller should have at least one of these in their stash! ;)]

Must admit I was struggling a bit to get my brain around this. Now I understand. Looking good sir

You must have the patience of a saint to put those tracks together

It reminds me a little of the Lunokhod rover:

Thanks, gents!

I have to say that the tracks were less hassle than I thought they'd be, probably because they're not "workable".

I like Steampunk but I think the designers of the Lunokhod went a little over the top. ;)

nice work.. I am especially impressed that all the tracks run in the same directions. I can get one run on backwards on a normal tank with two sets ;D

Eagerly awaiting the main event, the multi arm grabber business now.

I never even thought about tracks having to be applied so that they are in the right direction ? But now you mention it.

Parts of the "cockpit" put together & primer sprayed on everything. It's amazing how much orange shows through one coat of primer, so some parts have a second coat.

Probably not much else happening until my days off, as I'll have to fire up the airbrush.

Suppose I should start thinking about the base, too. Going to keep it very simple, though, so the focus is purely on the Crab.

Work in Progress:

The arm operator's cabin, so far;

Strangely the wrinkled look of the paint on the seat isn't visible (to me) except in these photo's.

Meh! "Onward & Upward", as The Bloke on the Range would say. ;)

I thought it was intentional to get that "plastic" look a lot of these seats have. Whether intentional or not it looks used
