Which kits are you using, Captain (and who brews the Chris Hadfield beer)?

OMG, I see PSR orgies on the horizon!

That's looking good, curious about the spine shape.

Tophe

It is good to add this ancestor of the twin-fin F-14/15/17/18... ;D

Got most of the bottom sorted out. Mostly kit bits, and more kit bits, and pieces of the Tomcat. The front of the engine nacelles are nose cone halves from the Backfire kit I built. My idea is, there will be blow in doors on the inside, for the extra air volume when needed.

Lots of filler and PSR ahead. I've settled on a Tomcat style main undercarriage, so I can have an extra wing hardpoint.

Now, one nose wheel to keep her sexy look ? Or two ?

Wow! This is hard work!
If at the end it looks like a single aircraft, it will be a victory! ;)

Really impressive!

I think I would stay with one nose wheel. After all, the nose wheel is there only because you need a third point of support, but nearly all load is taken on the main gear anyway.

Much looking forward to see where this ends up.

This is looking  very interesting  Todd

I certainly like the whole idea of that.

The 'standard' F-105 was fast at low level, this version will be BLAZING!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
