Built  in small numbers  and fitted out for the SEAD mission , most of these aircraft which were not front  line were sent to  North Africa , and were used as part of operation Saladin.  The aircraft were used as "Wild Weasels " and were affectionately known as the miffed Meerkat. Several  Phantom FGR2 and Buccaneer  S2's were also part of this mixed force  of both RAF and  Navy  aircraft.  Their job was to sniff out mobile Soviet built  SAM systems  being  used by the  insurgents. The U.S sent  several  Vietnam  war pilots as advisors, who had hands on experience in  SEAD and using the  weapons being carried by the British.
Kit is the revell  for, suitably  cut up and adjoined to one of Colin/freightdog 's tandem  conversions.
Build went  quite well  and it all fit together nicely.

That looks REALLY good Chris.

As you say, that conversion fits really well on the Revell Hunter, almost no PSR needed at all.

Are they Shrikes under the wings?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, the shrikes  are attached to  the outermost pylons.  The inner pylons have 500 lb snakeye's and the middle  pylons have fuel tanks on them.

"Miffed Meerkat"? That's a term that requires a genre. Group build idea?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The in-line tandem cockpit looks so much better than the side-by-side arrangement used on the T7s!

The tandem cockpit looks odd, esp. with the big nose - but I like the result, very well done.

Thanks everyone, I  quite enjoyed  building  this one.  I  am currently  building an in twilight service  super sonic  Hunter  that will be based on the Falklands in the late 70's.
