Next challenge is painting a nurses uniform in 1/72.

Don't forget the belt. All the nurses I knew back in the day were extremely proud of their belts and you could even tell which nursing school they'd been to from their design. Well you could with the London schools anyway, not sure about others.

1) Having tea whilst waiting for clearance?
2)  ALL nursing schools had different belts:  my aunt Elizabeth (who ended up a Matron) reckoned that it was a quick way to identify the nurses who'd been properly trained!!

They just wear scrubs now.  My friend who is a nurse thinks this is the best change they made and she shudders at the thought of having to wear a uniform you had to starch and iron.

From a practical point I totally agree, but there was something about walking into a pub with a pretty nurse on your arm in full uniform, bar the cap, including her cape.

As this aircraft will date from the 50's I have gone with a traditional white uniform.  The male orderly is also dressed in white.

It struck me that as there would be landing on rough and unprepared strips some bigger wheels might be a good idea.

They are relatively large windows and there is a skylight so I am hopeful something can be seen.
As always though, I know they are in there.
