Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Noorduyn Norseman C-64

In the years following the end of WW2 five Noorduyn Norseman were procured by the People's Democratic Republic of Victoria by shady European arms dealer Darius Smallbeer.
The aircraft were supplied without engines.  A fact Smallbeer had neglected to mention during negotiations and something which resulted in years of argument, threats, and shady types in dark suits blatantly lurking on suburban Dutch street corners talking into their sleeves.
While all this was going on the engineless airframes were pushed to the back of a hanger* to gather dust.

1951.  The Australian Flying Doctor Service, a transcontinental charitable organisation operating in all nation states of the Australian continent (but headquartered in the PDRV capital, Batmania) was in need of aircraft capable of carrying two casualties and of operating from rough strips.  The PDRV, having by now made Smallbeer an offer he couldn't refuse dusted off the five airframes and put them through Aircraft Factory No.1 at Tullamarine.  They emerged refitted to carry two stretcher cases, two medical staff, and two crew.  Power being supplied by Menasco Super-Unitwin air cooled inverted U12 engines.
Painted all-over white the five Norsemen became a common sight in the skies of Australia providing sterling, if unexciting service for many years.

*PDRV hangers were specially designed to have the largest amount of 'back' of any hangers world-wide.  Those built for zenrat industries were up to 90% back, a figure which put even Air America's special cargo sheds (75% back) to shame.  The only structures built with more back were Area 51's four dimensional hypercube hangers which were between -110% and 7200% back depending upon your frame of reference and which three axis' you chose to use.  However, these were found to be unstable shortly after completion and disappeared into a micro singularity during a minor earth tremor in 1963.

NARSES2

It's definitely got a "face" from some angles

Really good build sir
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Old Wombat

Maybe, rather than the Noorduyn Norseman, it should be the Ratta 2E? ;D

Hat? Coat?

Kind of a cross between a Turbo Porter and an An-3 (the tp-powered An-2).

Whatever.

Very smart.  Reminds me of a lower-tech version of a Turbo Beaver seen last time I was way out west.

That turned out impressively cool. To my shame, I have to admit I didn't see that coming.  :o
