My latest finish is a RW build for my clubs Paint It Black competition, the X-15.
Technically it's a Whiff if you compare the markings provided with the actual aircraft hanging in the NASM in DC.  ;)

It's actually very easy to build if you ignore the various movable parts and don't stress about the canopy glass not fitting. A bit of sanding and filling is needed for what is a 60 year old kit.

Paint: Halfords Grey Primer covered with Halfords Gloss Auto Black spray. Airfix acrylic Matt Black for the exhaust surround and Tamiya Gun Metal inside the exhaust. Tamiya Aluminium for the skids.

You've done well with that old girl Nick

Nice!

Piloting in that would've been like being a passenger in a manned missile! :o

That's pretty much how Scott Crossfield described it too!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
