New to the site, with pics to share

Hello all,

I'm new here at this site (this is my first post here actually). I've been building models for more than 20 years and I love hypothetical subjects.

A couple of years ago I finished this little bird up. Its Academy's 1/72 ME-163 Komet with Italian markings from an extra decal sheet I got in an Airfix 1/72 Fiat G.50 kit. I'd wanted to see a Komet in Italian marking for a long time and I finally had a kit and decals at the same time, so I went for it.

Wow, looks cool too. I almost expect to see a rectangle with a black stallion rearing up on a yellow background, just under the nose.

Great!  Unusual colours for this bird, even more than the Japanese 163... A whole shelf of the 163 family could be great, including the 2-seater, the J8M1/Ki200 Shusui, the MXY8 Akigusa glider...

Very cool Komet...the best I've seen ! Imagine the shock of the RAF boys if a few of those dove on them in Malta ? Faith, Hope and Gone-zo !

Nice job on the weathering and finish, especially in 72nd scale

Well the IMG /IMG works it seems, I will try to use the file attachment tool, not working for me till yesterday...

I've been having all kinds of problems loading images, lately, too.

Even some text-only posts receive a weird error saying "Unable to send e-mail" and it sometimes loads the post TWICE, anyhow.
