I wonder???  I have a very elderly Airfix Heron kit in the deep stash........could it possibly become a Swedish/Finnish/Danish civilian feeder airliner operating around the Baltic with odd hatch covers on the underside?    Or perhaps operating between Calcutta and Bangkok.......or even  in the Levant?

Or have the Heron operated by 60 Sqn instead of their Pembroke C(PR)1s?

I did only have one idea for this GB, but new ones pop into my head every time I stop to think about it!

Idea #1 that I will go with is single-engined jet-related, influenced by a real project.
Idea #2 twin-engined jet with major changes to it.
Idea #3 twin-engined jet with minor changes to it, reflecting actual paper project.
Idea #4 single piston-engined aircraft with a replacement engine.
Idea #5 twin piston-engined aircraft reflecting actual project.  So far this morning this is the favoured second submission, but that may all change by this afternoon!

All of the necessary bits bar the base kit for idea #4 have been extracted from the loft.  that may be taken as a sign but don't count on it as the other ideas may happen in the distant future.

I have NO idea what I'm going to do for this GB, possibly because I've already built most of the ideas I might have had.  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Why not go for a short wing variant of a normally long wing aircraft? Revolutionary idea, I know. But.....
Short wing fast recon.

A new version of the PR 19? Naval version with more wing folds than a Ganet!

Something other than an aircraft?  Armoured car maybe?

Operational development of the HP.115 with a 75deg delta wing for ultra low-level, ultra-fast recon. ;D

I have the Heller kit which will be the basis for the build. It's going to be...... unexpected I hope

Gondor

As Dizzy says, it's a nice kit. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

One of those 1950s US cars as a reconnaissance armoured car they had huge wings .

If it was good enough for Rolls Royce....

Make a biplane from it!  ;D

That's exactly my plans  :banghead:

Gondor

Oddly enough my thoughts were bi-plane or sesqui-plane, but then I thought : Nah

The difficult bit will be reduceing the size and shape of the existing wing and increasing the size and changeing the shape of the new upper wings.  :-\

Like this?  Or should you save it for the Pirate GB?
