I hope to give you the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard Naval Detachment  ;D ;D

Oh my, so something like a waterborne Jones' Butchers Van.

Right as it's 1st November in New Zealand and a few other Pacific Idylls (plus I'm not around first thing tomorrow) I'm declaring this GB open.

I've created the Finished Builds section, so off you go gents.

Enjoy yourselves

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Right then. Now all I need is some sort of flash of an idea.
I have nothing at the moment it appears.

I did try and build a Gunship version of the A.W. Argosy using the Mach2 kit, I might have another go

Could you add the Falcon Triple Conversion Kit IV Lockheed AP-2H Neptune to a Airfix or Revell Avro Shackleton to produce a Shackleton Gunship?

Would one of Mr Diplock's Pedrails be acceptable?  As mentioned in the H G Wells story  "THE LAND IRONCLADS"

Brief details here:-  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Land_Ironclads

And a card model here:-  https://currell.net/models/ironclad.htm

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

As long as there are guns involved I say go for it.

It's a shame I had built this  about 40 years ago, it would be nice in this GB. The original idea was to crew it with assyrian archers from the old "roman friends and foes" Airfix box (and conversion articles on Airfix Mag) but I cannot find them at the moment.
I am toying with the idea of substituting the "baskets" with sponsons left  over from Airfix WW1  tanks, in a supporting role for the GB...

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Just came up with another idea,  fitting Aden gun pods to the Airfix BAe Nimrod MR.1

I'm at a loss trying to think what to build for this GB, but a few things are mulling around in my head.

a) I've still got the wreckage of that Miles Aerovan that had much of its airframe melted by a bloody minded 'tube' of Revell Contacta, and it's a got a hefty cargo hold, quite large enough for a hefty breech, or a number of smaller ones.....  ;)

b) I've got LOTS of airliner kits and they're HUGE in comparison.  :o

c) I've even got a ship kit or two.................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

The Martin 331-10 might float your boat. Or the Northrop N-308, Lockheed CL-1044-9.

I feel inclined to tackle a literal submission to this GB in the form of a WWII monitor ship, probably RN use in North Africa for shore bombardments.
