Ballarat show today.
About 380 models entered.  Mostly cars & trucks but a strong showing of aircraft, military and Sci Fi.

Pics are here but here are some highlights.

This for Tophe.  Not sure what it is but it appears to me to have P-38 in its DNA.

And this was my favourite.  Beautifully cleanly built Mazda Cosmo.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Looks a terrific 'show', whatever they are............  :-\

LOVE the Swiss Army tank.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

As do I, and I'm impressed by the simulated gunfire on the US Battleship model, very realistic and it's something that's very difficult to do.

Nice!

SAPMA haven't announced the date of their 2021 Expo, yet. :(

However, I'm banking on the second weekend of October, as that's its usual date slot.

Nice one Fred. Had a prior commitment so could not head to the show. Seen a few of yours in the pix I have seen though.

I wonder how they did it?  LEDs in the gun blasts? :banghead:

Maybe, but it just looks like extremely well painted cotton wool to my tired old eyes ?

If they announce it early enough I shall take some leave, if necessary. ;)

It's a toyish Revell Star Wars snap-fit kit from the (*gasp*) early episodes, a so-called "Magna Guard Fighter". Not certain if it appears in the movie at all?
Apparently built OOB, just with a nice finish. Until now I was not aware that this thing actually carries a purple livery!?
