Going to have to give the Avon show a miss this year , partly because of the current situation , but mostly because of a lack of transport . my old truck having given up the ghost . Will miss seeing the usual crowd but hope to be back next year.

Thats a pity. Hope fully see you next year then Andrew.

A quick note to those who are going. the following was highlighted at tonights Cov & warks meeting.

There wont be any catering inside the venue.
So stock up on your own pack lunches and drinks people.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

OK, so who's the idiot who's so keen to be getting back to model shows that he turned up for the Avon show a whole WEEK early? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oddly enough there was almost no-one else there, apart from types wearing tracksuits wearing themselves out on some sort of torture machines........

All I am saying is that it should have been the Coventry Show this week.

See you soon Kit.

Put it down as a Recce mission Kit  ;)

For those attending the Avon Show on Sunday one SIG tradition will be maintained.

I will be bringing a box of 10 Cadbury's Mini-Rolls.

I'll see if I can find the way there in that case.  ;D

I'm after a favour from anyone attending the show please.

If MAM Publications are there, I don't think they will be, but if they are can you ask them what on earth is happening with Scale Aviation Modeller International ?

I haven't received a single copy of my current subscription, from last Oct, without having to chase them (David Francis has been excellent, but I think he's finally come to the end of the tether on the issue) and I have still to receive my June, July and August copies. Repeated e-mails bring a similar response, this is the latest and I'm almost convinced this is now an automated one, though I may be wrong on that.

"June and July issues will be with you in the next week shortly followed by August.

We apologise for the delays which have been caused by issues beyond our control."

Thanks in advance

Chris

Chris I could do this for you but won't as I don't buy the rag and two these problems are being well aired elsewhere on Social Media tbh.

But what is Social Media saying about such a deplorable state of affairs?

Folk aren't happy, some are annoyed, usual sort of things. No one seems to really know what the cause is.

The mini rolls are raseberry flavour btw.

I have had a look on social media Howard, but the couple of threads I found had been shut down.
