I wasn't aware they'd gone bankrupt

They were bought/run by bean counters that didn't know (or care) anything about the hobby. It was units out, profits in and eventually most customers went elsewhere.

It's good to see them back, mainly because there'll be another source for kits and maybe some competition.

I was very happy to get the email.  Up until a few years ago I was like a kid when the quarterly catalog showed up in the mail.  That was before the last owners really destroyed the variety of kits they carried though.  Hope it comes back in its prior form.  I'm optimistic it will looking at the new owner.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Although I've never bought direct from them I've a few of their branded bits and pieces in the stash.

I always though they were one of the main suppliers Stateside ? Glad to see them back, even though I didn't know they'd gone.

Indeed for many of us in the USA they were THE supplier in the days before the internet, especially for us in more isolated areas with limited hobby shop access. I like others would wait with excitement for their mail flyers.

Their "in action" books were a huge hit for us boys of all ages, and a great complement to model building our favorite subjects.

I remember something similar with wargames figures. You don't get the same feelings of excitement/anticipation with the Web and that's a shame, although I still log on to Hannant's every Saturday to see what's new  ;D

The website is back up for ordering.  Seems the same as it was before they shut down.
