Really pretty airframe and it looks fantastic in that scheme
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

There is something distinctly odd about those propellors !
Two right handed blades and two left handed blades on each prop?

Yeah as I was weathering the props the first thing I noticed was that these would not work.  It's odd because the instructions indicate the props have individual blades to be assembled on the hubs but the actual parts are fully assembled (incorrectly) props.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

They are obviously the rarely photographed, experimental two bladed contra rotating props
I believe that there were problems with the cam mechanism, which allowed the contra rotating props to pass each other.....
as they appear to be mounted on the same axis

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

The designer should probably have got together with a certain Professor Veeblefitzer: https://www.deviantart.com/jimbowyrick1/art/Veeblefitzer-Ve-96B-Impossible-Fighter-845169130

Never mind the props - it looks really good!

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen, and the input early on. This is a kit with a lot of whiffing potential and it goes together beautifully, the prop issue aside. I'll be picking up more of them. Seems like the RAAF Hornets would be going into battle alongside USMC ones in early 1946...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Lovely job.  So used to seeing the pretty Hornet in it's post war fatigues, good to see it in uniform.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Are those invasion stripes or racing stripes? Like a sporty Jag in British Racing Green!
Whatever.

Dizzyfugu

I have a FROG Hornet somewhere in The Stashâ„¢, and still cannot decide between a late WWII SEA RAF livery (Dark Earth/Dark Green/MSG with small blue roundels and white ID stripes) or a post-war Burmese aircraft...

buzzbomb

Just another great job echo.

Really looks slick in that scheme

I kinda like where this idea could go!   BRG with a white stripe on one wing and a big white circle on the other for the number for some post-war air race or another. The Jaguar D-type of the air.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

My gosh, I thought it was a good idea but now I see I was wrong. It was a great idea. She's beautiful!

As an aside, in our world 75Sqn used the GA codes and one of their Pacific theatre veteran P-40s is airworthy in NZ.
