After having built a twin-boom P-51D (https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=49310.0) together with a tail-less P-51D, I am going to do the same with a Mirage 5BA:

The French BSS and SD are for export TWT (Twinboom Without Tailplane) and WF (Without Fin).

Here are the kits' (Mark1, 1/144) content:

Thanks!

Uh, looking at the parts, I am surprised there are 2 fuselages per kit (M3 & M5), so it was a mistake for me to buy 2 kits in order to get 2 fins, already included in a single one (thanks Mark1 company).
Ahem, now with these 2 kits, I may change my plans, as a (crazy?) what-ifer. I consider a W tail (Fouga Gémeaux like) on the twin-boom Mirage, and the tail-less Mirage could have 3 fuselages (3 seats, 3 noses) and maybe flapping wings for fun, in a low position with long tanks at wing tips to stand. (Don't tell it to the psychiatrist...) ;)

(the Mirage fin is not high enough for a W layout it seems so this becomes VV) :-\ ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks to all !

Well I have started to read instructions (not to obey them, hey I am a what-ifer!), and I have been surprised to see that Mark1 is a Czech company, not British like I thought with such a name (and half price in UK compared to France).
Then I started to get the important parts from one kit: <_<

Then the butcher came, poor Mirage victims... :-\

Then some nurse (?) with glue tried to repair the poor (future) twin-boom Mirage: <_<

I will have to correct my drawing of project:
- the nose is not 5BA but 3E, it has to be cut away to install 5BA nose or 3R nose, and I think I will let the 3E way on the 4 noses (less PSR this way).
- the extra fuselage is not 3E while the main one would be 5BA, but the extra one is 3C ("to discard" according to instructions! ignoring what-ifers do exist!) with long jet exhaust and air intakes more forward.
- there is a single canopy (and single wing) per kit, that is why it is not written "2 in 1" on the cover, so I will have to correct my trifuselage way with a single canopy and not three.
P.S. The spell checking tells me trifuselage is not English (for triplex fuselage?) and proposes to replace it by Trafalgar! while I am French and I have learned at primary school that Trafalgar was an awful shame to be forgotten (not to celebrate with Trafalgar Square, our teachers said British historians are wrong...). Now an adult, I dislike Napoleon dictator and his attacking wars (in histories, this is no more politics for centuries). ;)

The non-twin-boom version cannot be named TB, this would be paradoxical for English speaking people, this is why the TaB code has been preferred.
The "like fin" things on the triplex-fuselage are parts found in the kit, for the peaceful guy I am they are not missile holders but secret device (electronic probably).

I have chosen 1/144 because lacking room (not enough for 1/72), but the rear booms would make my Mirage very long, too much. So I have cut the wing part in two, and I will glue the half wings more forward than the real thing, to decrease length. <_<

Uh, no marking, no camo, these will be plain blue birds, "civilians" if birds may be classified this way (not military, I mean) ;)
