Why not simply change the engines on a Meteor to two Pythons?

That was WELL before the Tyne was developed.

The turbo-prop Meteor was powered by RB 50 Trent engines , which were basically Derwents with a gearbox on the front.

       That was off the top of my head and while I was at work so next to no refference with me        I did get the first letter right though

That twin is too cool. For sure it could be longer, but I really like the idea !
